Dear colleagues,

The organizing committee is pleased to announce that the best expanded abstracts presented at ToxiLatin 2025 will be selected for publication in a special issue of the journal Toxicology, Elsevier (FI = 4.8, https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/toxicology) entitled “Proceedings of 4th Latin American Congress of Clinical and Laboratory Toxicology: Environmental, Experimental and Nanotoxicology” which will have as guest editors Dra. Solange Cristina Garcia, Dra. Marize Valadares, Dr. Marcelo Dutra Arbo and Dra. Natália Brucker. 

Authors interested in publishing in Toxicology must send, in addition to the abstract submitted to the event, an expanded abstract that will be evaluated by the guest editors. The deadline for submitting expanded abstracts will be April 30th, 2025. Even if you have already submitted an abstract for the event, you can submit the abstract in expanded form.

The areas of interest for publication are: 

• Occupational Toxicology; 
• Environmental Toxicology; 
• Nanotoxicology; 
• Alternative Models in Toxicology; 
• New Methodological Approaches for Security Assessment; 
• Risk Assessment; 
• Neurotoxicology; 
• Clinical-Laboratory Toxicology; 
• Omic Technologies; 
• Biomarkers and Epidemiology.

The expanded abstract must have a maximum of two pages containing Introduction, Methods, Results (graphs and/or tables), Discussion, Conclusion, Bibliography. The work must be original, written in English and of scientific quality. Review articles and case reports will not be accepted. 

The study must not have been previously published, nor be under consideration for publication in another journal (except conference proceedings documents). All manuscripts will undergo the usual peer review process before final acceptance by the journal.

All expanded abstracts should only be sent via email as an attached file (.doc) to the following address: retoxilatin2025@gmail.com. Shortly after receiving your email, a confirmation message will be sent.

After a preliminary review process, authors of selected works will receive an invitation by June 14th, 2025 to submit a full version of the work to be considered for publication by September 21st, 2025.
